Hall's Farm - Stawberry picking

During spring break all of the family went to Hall's Farm to pick strawberries for the first time. They have large fields of strawberries and the girls had so much fun! We picked 5lbs of strawberries and bought some homemade peach cider and raspberry jam - yum, yum! Here is a video of Riley and the girls picking the strawberries.

Birthday Girl

Yesterday on 19th, Madyson turned 9!! It is spring break for the girls, so Madyson got to be home all day. She started off her birthday at 6:30a heading to breakfast with Daddy! They went to Skillets and Mady chose; hot chocolate and cranberry/pecan pancakes topped with strawberries and whipped cream.

For lunch Mommy fixed homemade pizzas, a veggie pizza and a baked apples/cinnamon pizza, and had a picnic in the backyard - how fun. For dinner she wanted ribs, so we headed to Tony Roma's and a messy good time. We then went home to have cake and open cards. She was blessed with lots of cards, so thank you to everyone! As the birthday girl, she got to choose the entertainment for the evening of playing Wii bowling as a family - Daddy and Ella won, however we had a great day with our Big 9 year old. Her and Ella finished the evening upstairs watching a movie and staying up late. We love our Madyson!

Be praying for her next Friday as she goes to "Fine Arts Competition" for piano. She has been practicing very diligently and the Lord has blessed her with such a talent and gift.

Getaway

Ken had an IT conference in Las Vegas this past Tues-Fri and Heather got to join him to make it a much needed getaway!! They stayed at the Cosmopolitan, which just opened in December, and were blessed with an upgraded room in a Suite with a wrap around terrace on the 43rd floor. Some of the highlights were; Bellagio fountain shows, MGM lion habitat, lavish resorts, eating at Mon Amia Gabi, enjoying the views at night on the terrace in upper 60's temperature, walked the Strip (of course this could be considered a lowlight!), a 4-story M&M store, and going to the Blue Man Group show!! Ken got to participate in the Blue Man Group show, which was fantatic! (see pic in slideshow). Some of the pictures have been put in the slideshow above ...Enjoy! July

July has been a fun month. We celebrated our 12th Anniversary on the 5th in Boone, NC. The girls have spent time at the pool, Grammy's and PapaT's. Then Riley turned 2 months old. (click on the slide show to see some new pictures)

Aunt SaSa

Heather's sister Sarah came, or as the girls call her SaSa. Riley got to meet her for the first time. It was nice having her here for 4 days. The girls are ready for her to come back again and of course Heather is too!

First time

This past Sunday was Riley's first visit to church! She did well but her outfit didn't make it home clean - but that's what babies do, especially Riley!

1st Grade done!

Madyson started her first day of summer vacation today. Signaling her completion of First Grade!! Wow it goes fast. She has learned so much in 2 years of school: how to; read, write in cursive, tell time, add, subtract, fractions, and much more. This is the second year she has earned the Headmaster's Honor Roll - the highest grade average achievement at school! (Where she get all the brains?) Next year both Ella and Madyson will be at the same school, in Kindergarten and Second Grade!!

We are proud of you Madyson - God has given you a great learning ability! We can't wait to see how He is going to continue to use and bless you.

Riley's check up

Today Riley had another weight check and she was 8 lbs. 10 oz., so she's back up to her birth weight. She won't have to go back until her 1 month appt.
